So it's been a while since I've posted anything, the last few weeks of my quarter got a little hectic, and I've spent the past week in my apartment sleeping and eating in an attempt to recuperate. But, now it's back to the same old grind. This quarter should be a little easier than the last one, not as many hectic classes as winter quarter, just gotta make sure I keep my personal life in check so as to avoid another cataclysmic explosion so to speak.
I'm excited to start this quarters work load. I'll be shooting a lot of Large format work which is always something I've enjoyed, gonna work on refining my black and white developing skills. Managed to acquire a huge amount of B&W 4x5 film, and there is the possibility of me getting my hands on a 4x5 camera to own, so now I just need to work on getting my developing skills down.
There is a lot of work going now that I think on it. Finally got an official portfolio and resume together, so I guess that makes me an official photographer? I mean I don't see why not. But now, I'm turning my attention to a lot of different things, working on getting a website up and working ASAP, that goes hand in hand with business cards, and promo cards. I need to start some self promotion, I don't even know where I wanna go after college, but self promotion is at least a step in some kind of direction. Thankfully I still have another year to figure that out, right? Aside from that, I have a lot of personal work I wanna do this quarter/summer as well. Photographing aside, I've been really focusing on my rock climbing, and I really would like to refine my technique and work on my strength. I'd like to start working on some tougher problems soon. That coupled with the amount of cooking I have been doing, I'm starting to really enjoy some of the more complex recipes.
It all just seems like alot to take on in one 10 week period. But, the best way to stay creative is to stay in motion. Life is gonna get busy, quickly, but I wouldn't want it any other way.
